MEDITATION

Tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift, that is why it's called

THE PRESENT

Meditation is a medicine

Meditation is a type of mind-body medicine. People have meditated for thousands of years. The Buddha is seen in several suttas encouraging monks to develop jhāna (which is a meditative state). Meditation is the key to opening the doors of inner awakening which leads to liberation.

Those who meditate train themselves to focus on one thing, such as their breath. When the mind wanders, the practice of meditation trains the mind to return to the focus.

Meditation brings wisdom;
lack of meditation leaves ignorance.
Know well what leads you forward
and what holds you back,
and choose the path
that leads to wisdom
